How I cured my Air Borne Allergies

Two Years Ago, I was hit by the worst Allergy bout of my life. The Air Quality had troubled me since I was a kid, an Asthma patient in childhood I was bound to hit by Air Borne Allergies.

An Engineer by profession, my work included visiting various client sites which meant that I had to inhale numerous amounts of chemicals. I hope you all know already, that an Allergen can enter your body through your mouth, nose or eyes.

No matter whichever safety precaution I took, my allergies only got worse with time.

My symptoms included swollen eyelids, inflammed nasal passages (blocked nose), difficulty breathing and seldom a runny nose. Along with that lethargy and irritability was very common.

I visited various Doctors and Allergy Clinics, they all gave me the same thing,

1) Anti Allergy Medicines (i.e. Fexofenadine, Zyrtec and Benadryl Allergy relief)

2) Anti Inflammatory Eye Drops usually containing Steroids (Not good for the eyes in the long run – can lead to complications i.e. Gluocoma)

3) Advice on staying outdoors and removing everything that could hold dust mites.

4) Last and definitely the least, immunology. Never took this option, could not entrust in a solution which could take years to solve.

This is what I did, a 4 Step Plan cured me of chronic allergy symptoms in 2 months.

My plan takes inspiration from various Medicinal Approaches to treat the cause rather than just eliminate the symptoms.

Step 1 – pH Balance

Is of utmost importance, the pH level is the balance between the alkalinity and acidity in the body. An acidic level, which most of patients usually have can lead to higher levels of inflammation in the body. Inflammation is a result of Histamine produced by the body. Body produces histamine when provoked by an allergen, it shows a working immune system but when it over produces it, results in symptoms of allergy. Ideally we would like to keep our pH level in the range of 6.75 to 7.25.

A slightly alkaline body boosts the immune system and helps body recover from aches and pains.

pH level can be easily balanced by introducing fruits into one’s diet. Fruits i.e. cantaloupe, melons, papaya, pineapple, strawberries, blueberries and apples are most beneficial as they also contain anti inflammatory properties.

Monitor your pH level at least once daily preferably twice, use saliva strips.

pH strips can be found at most pharmacy shops otherwise you can order them online.

Step 2 – Supplements

If you have stopped taking anti allergy medicines because you have given up, then it is time to take the correct ones. Try Nasalease 500mg – once daily. It is more like a supplement then a medicine, take it only as prescribed and be patient.

Now, this is a must Vitamin C, un-believe ably important. Preferably take 2 tablets 500mg twice a day, If your stomach has trouble handling this much tritate it to 500mg once a day. Vitamin C cuts down on symptom producing histamine and strengthens the immune system.

Take Cod Liver Oil once a day. What will this do? Omega 3 fatty acids help reduce inflammation in the body. They will boost your immune system, help with the swollen eye lids and dry eyes. They will also help if you are into gym-ming and sports they help muscles recover quickly.

Step 3 – Diet

Yogurt, if we all knew the importance of it we would have it every day and this is what you have to do, an absolute must. Have Yogurt every morning, fresh with live bacteria most brands do it. I prefer Activia by Danon.

Yogurt will help build up good bacteria in your gut, help reduce food allergies, help your intestines better absorb the food that you eat. Must have - every morning.

Fish, fish, fish amazing anti inflammatory food as mentioned earlier the Omega 3s will help reduce the inflammation.

Step 4 – Exercise

Target: Get atleast 6 hours of exercise every week. Now, how do you do the exercise is very important. Preferably not rigorous exercise, medium level of effort of approximately 40 minutes every day. Well hydrated working around a maximum of 50% higher than your resting heart beat. Mostly 100bpm to 120bpm, I would not recommend any more to ensure that we keep the inflammation down as too much stress on the body will lead to inflammation and deplete the immune system.

Summary

The plan above will ensure that you kick the allergies out of your life, but make sure you stick to it once you are on it.
